Learn the pieces as you corner the king. Solve a checkmate, then capture the king to celebrate! Take your time with hints and a step-by-step walkthrough.

12 mate-in-one puzzles + 6 mate-in-three puzzles. No time limit.

How to play
  1. Select one of your upward-pointing pieces, then tap a highlighted square. You can also place pieces from your hand.
  2. Keep checking the king. In a three-move puzzle, the opponent replies automatically before your final move.
  3. Once you have checkmate, pick a glowing piece and capture the king to celebrate. This final action does not add a move. Hints and the walkthrough are always available.
